About Blueair Air Purifiers

About Blueair
Blueair, founded in 1996 in Sweden, has quickly earned a reputation
for superior performance, technological innovation and quality
design. Clean air is a human right in Blueair's opinion. That's why
Blueair's exclusive focus is on designing and manufacturing the best
air cleaning systems available. Blueair manufacturers air purifiers
for people who refuse to compromise on health, design or function.
Relieving the discomfort of allergy and asthma symptoms and
enhancing respiratory health and well-being for everyone is what
their products are designed for. They want consumers to make
informed choices so they provide information with integrity.
Stockholm, Sweden and Chicago, Illinois are two places known for
their commitment to a healthy environment. They also happen to be
the locations of Blueair's headquarters. New clean air solutions for
homes, offices and commercial locations where people live, work and
breathe are always being researched at Blueair.
How is the Quality of Blueair Units?
Blueair customers expect superior quality, and that is why the
products are designed, engineered and built so there is no
compromising when it comes to health, design or function. There are
no less-than-durable plastic housings included on these units, only
galvanized steel. EBM, a manufacturer of telecom and medical
equipment, makes the fan and blower. The product life on Blueair
units is extremely long and a 10 year limited warranty is included
as well.
How Do Blueair Products Clean the Air Quietly?
Blueair air
purifiers are manufactured with sophisticated materials and
precision engineering so that they clean the air more quietly than
less advanced units. No more sound than a desktop computer is
emitted on the lowest setting. Blueair's patented HEPASilent filter
technology traps particles in two ways, with mechanical and
electrostatic filters to achieve exceptionally quiet operation. Air
flows freely through the filter system this combination creates. A
powerful, noisy fan is used on most air cleaners to pull air through
densely packed filters. The fan inside of Blueair units does not
have to work as hard or make as much noise because the air passes
easily through the filter media. Also, noise-muffling steel is used
instead of sound-sonant plastic which means even the housing is
designed with quiet operation in mind.
How About Electricity Consumption?
There is no jump in your electricity cost, even if you run a Blueair
unit 24/7. It only runs on 70 watts on low and 120 watts on high,
which is the same amount of energy it takes to power a single light
bulb.
Excellent Performance without Polluting the Environment
Safe, non-toxic polypropylene replaces standard triclosan-coated
paper or glass filter fibers which can harm the environment when
released into the waste stream on Blueair units. Polypropylene
produces only carbon dioxide and water as it decomposes, making it
one of the least harmful plastics. These polypropylene filters
naturally resist contamination from bacteria, viruses and mold
without chemical additives or washes because they are waterproof. No
chemical outgassing is produced because Blueair uses a special
powder coat finish.
The Design is Award-Winning
A hallmark of Swedish design is the union of visually pleasing form
and effective function. The Excellent Swedish Design Award is one of
the most prestigious design awards in Scandinavia. Blueair won this
award because of the sleek, contemporary look of its air purifiers
and one of the units is permanently on display at the National
Museum in Stockholm.

electrostatic and mechanical filter technology.
400 Series - This series includes the
Blueair 403 air purifier. The 403 utilizes HEPASilent
technology, which captures 99.97% of the smallest 0.1 micron
particles on level one such as allergy provoking pollen grains, dust
mites, mold spores and pet dander particles. It covers 365 square
feet.
500 Series - The
Blueair 503 air purifier is included in this series. It covers
580 square feet and features a SurroundAir vent system that delivers
excellent air exchange without drafts. There is easy maintenance and
an optional SmokeStop Filter Kit can be added for increased
protection from smoke and other airborne gases.
600 Series - The
Blueair 603 air purifier is included in this series. It features
patented two-stage HEPASilent technology and can cover rooms as
large as 640 square feet. Efficiency has been dramatically improved
by advances in fan and filter design.
