Description

HEPA filters were originally developed in the 1940's by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission as a way to remove small radioactive particles from the air, and since then, HEPA air purifiers have used this type of filtration media to clean areas such as hospitals, government buildings, and clean rooms.

Like all "True" HEPA filters, the 40850-NQH replacement HEPA filter is over 99.97% effective at removing particles 0.3 microns or larger from the air. However, unlike many other HEPA filters used in competing air purifiers, NQ Industries utilizes a thoroughly-tested filter using the D.O.P. method. This test procedure evaluates particle penetration and air flow resistance, and test articles are challenged with contaminants of the most penetrating particle size. Hospital requires this testing information to be affixed to the filter, and each 40850-NQH HEPA filter bears a certification label to ensure that it is a True HEPA filter.

This filter is compatible with the NQ Clarifier Standard, NQ Clarifier Medical, and NQ Clarifier Medical Plus air purifiers, and should be replaced every 24 months (18 months recommended).
